Pow! Bang! Crash! Splat!

Storyboard is a graphic organizer in the form of illustrations or storyboard A images displayed in sequence for the purpose of previsualizing a motion picture, animation, motion graphic, or interactive media sequence. In short, a comic book or formally a graphic novel. The storyboarding process, in the form it is known today, was developed at Walt Disney Productions during the early 1930s.

 Gone with the Wind (1939) was one of the first live-action films to be completely storyboarded. William Cameron Menzies, the film’s production designer, was hired by producer David O. Selznick to design every shot of the film.

Twin Memoirs has now come full circle. Grandfather Matt (Matlin DeMarco) began book 1 of this series, stating that Margaret Mitchell had written Gone with the Wind as a self-autobiography of herself.

Did you notice the rainbow in the background of the book cover for book 12? It might not be the rainbow flag, but I think some of my readers noticed the message right away. I was surprised when I researched my next project and found out this movie had been fully storyboarded. Coincidence?

I am in the process of storyboarding a new superhero, my own granduncle and his sidekick lover. The cover of this book has meaning as you read on.

The day Granduncle Michael walked into the Eagle-Bear offices forever changed my life. Grandfather Matt had been lost in space. (Okay, anyone wants to do a pun here in memory of Granddad… danger, danger Will Robinson?) Tommy, Dad, and I were planning a farewell service when Michael made himself known.

This might answer all those questions of how I could have written stories not knowing he was alive. Plus, you have already read that GU Mike compelled me to forget that visit. He later made himself known to me again, thus this book. This is also the answer as to why publications of Twin Memoirs were delayed time after time.

Michael had compelled Tommy, Dad, and myself not to remember that meeting. I was granted the privilege of remaining aware that something had happened with GU Mike, a feeling he was alive. When we met up again, we worked together in writing Revolution and Twin Memoirs volumes 5 and 6, along with my dad.

Now we are working on digital formats and hard copy comic storyboards to tell the story of a new superhero and his partner, Salvatore and his sidekick, the Saint. And running the whole shebang is Dorcus, Damien’s husband. Note: Dorcus will age; therefore, the role of Albert (Bruce Wayne’s butler) will be fulfilled.

And Charlie, my partner in life, works alongside me. He is the graphic designer as I provide the storyline and dialogue. Yes, I still preach and council, but storyboarding has become my passion.

 Granduncle Michael has shared with you his life from transition to meeting Thierry and Damien. All three traveled to Romania to discover their future plans. Their plans, to put it simply: Salvatore and the Saint. And enter Rita Bannister.

The stories GU Mike shared were just a handful of adventures he experienced. God had him working full-time in making a better world. Our new superhero adventures are those stories told and those stories left out that would come alive in the pages of a comic book series.

The four—GU Mike, Thierry, Damien, and Dorcus—that Native American sacred number 4, will live on in infamy. Okay, I borrowed that from some president way back when Granddad and GU Mike were just infants. Plus, if you add me, Charlie, and Rita, you now have the seven directions.

The war against good and evil will rage on throughout eternity. Of course, we know, good always has the victory. Why? Because God is love. It’s that simple. Then you ask, where did you come up with the name Saint for Thierry as Salvatore’s sidekick?

And who is Rita Banister?
